Which one is easier to carry?

This is charming:

I can think of some alternative slogans:

Which one is easier to carry:
A baby or a gun?
A baby or a machete?
A baby or a small bag of cocaine?

As if the ease in carrying a thing has anything to do with it!

Let's see what other wisdom is available on the Connexions360 site:
Most forms of contraception stop you from getting pregnant. Only condoms will protect against both pregnancy and STIs.

But what's this a bit farther down the page?
If you’ve had unprotected sex, forgot to take your pill or the condom split, you can take emergency contraception - if you act quickly.

But hang on, you just said:
Only condoms will protect against both pregnancy and STIs.

So, they don't protect against either if they split. And the greater the reliance on them, the more opportunities for a split to occur.

Hellbent is the word.

Advent Prayer

Christmas 2008,Brighton

To be said 15 times a day from the feast of St Andrew until Christmas:

Hail and blessed be the hour and moment
In which the Son of God was born
Of the most pure Virgin Mary,
at midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold.
In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee,
O my God,
to hear my prayer and grant my desires,
[here mention your request]
through the merits of Our Saviour Jesus Christ,
and of His Blessed Mother.
Amen.

Rochester to Canterbury, 2009

The SSPX's annual pilgrimage from Rochester to Canterbury took place the weekend just gone, and, as per usual, there are photos aplenty on the forum, courtesy of Gregorio again:

So much for pluralism

From The Manchester Advertiser, regarding the abortive purchase of a church in Manchester by the SSPX:

"Our community is multi-cultural, multi-racial and multi-faith. We do not believe there is any place in Manchester, and indeed wider society, for views such as those expressed by SSPX."

The irony!

More from Chartres

A lot more photos have been added since yesterday's post, so do take a butcher's.

Chartres 2009

As ever, the SSPX's Chartres pilgrimage took place over Pentecost weekend, sans the Montmartre part, on account of a lot of secularists throwing a spanner in the works.

Anyhow, thanks to Gregorio Sarto once again, for taking photos and videos of the event, which can be seen on the forum.

Pentecost

Veni Creátor Spíritus,
Méntes tuórum vísita:
Imple supérna grátia,
Quæ tu creásti péctora.

Et spiritális únctio.

Tu rite promíssum Pátris,
Sermóne ditans gúttura.

Accénde lúmen sénsibus,
Infúnde amórem córdibus,
Infírma nóstri córporis
Virtúte fírmans pérpeti.

Hóstem repéllas lóngius,
Pacémque dónes prótinus:
Ductóre sic te prævio,
Vitémus ómne nóxium.

Per te sciámus da Pátrem,
Noscámus atque Fílium,
Téque utriúsque Spíritum
Credámus ómni témpore.

Déo Pátri sit glória,
Et Fílio, qui a mórtuis
Surréxit, ac Paráclito,
In sæculórum sæcula.
